Have you figured out what your (or your kids') Halloween costume will be this year? What's it going to be?
Two words: Buzz Lightyear.
When was the last time you made a drastic change to your personal style (i.e., wardrobe, hairstyle, etc.)? What did you do?

Well, let's see. I'm guessing the weight-loss regiment that I'm on right now doesn't exactly qualify, (28 lbs so far and counting!) but it may lead to future changes in style. Most notably, would be a wardrobe update.
I'm growing my hair out. The last time I did that was almost a decade ago. I think my current avatar is most indicative of my last major overhaul of my personal style, (the blue hair came shortly after I chopped off the pony-tail last time.)
Okay, we hate to ask, but... over the roll or under the roll?
When I was a kid, we were an "over the roll" family. When I moved out I remained "over the roll". That is, until the cats figured out how to unroll an "over the roll" set up. (Imagine my surprise when I came home from work to discover that the apartment interior had been TP'ed) We switched to "under the roll" because the cats could spend all day spinning the roll and only damage a small percentage of it with their claws.
Of course, now that the cats have gone to live with grandma, we're back to "over the roll"
I never understood what all the fuss was about, anyway. It all ends up in the same place at the end.
What's one thing that you'd like to get done this weekend? Is there anything holding you back?
The one thing I'd like to get done this weekend it some laundry. I am out of socks. The two things holding me back right now is the fact that I have to work today, and tomorrow I'd have to fight for the washer and dryer. (Small apartment complex - 6 units, only one washer and dryer, and everyone wants to use it on the weekend.) Good thing I have Monday and Tuesday off. I'll probably get the laundry done then.
Hooray for sandals!
Play any instrument or speak any language, which do you choose?
Question submitted by cruftbox.vox.com.
When I was younger, (I think it was around the time I started taking French in High School) I came up with the idea of a character (usually me, I'm the hero of my own stories - especially the ones that never see the light of day) who could understand and speak any language that a person he was talking to could speak. I had alway's pictured it as a form of selective telepathy. The specifics of how it would work were never really set in stone, like whether or not distance was a factor, (would it work over the telephone, or chatting on the internet?) how long I'd retain the ability to speak a specific language, or whether I was actualy speaking the language, (sometimes I was, sometimes the person would only think that I was, like some sort of universal translator) and whether or not I could choose the language (in the case of a polyglot) or if it was automatically just the speaker's native language (the language that they thought in)
Maybe someday I'll work this stuff out and put into a story - it always seems like a neat basis for a character to me.
So the answer to the QotD for me is: "speak any language"
